Terms and Conditions

SERVICE AGREEMENT IS PROVIDED, REVIEWED AND AGREED UPON BOOKING OF OUR SERVICES.

RENTAL AGREEMENT / CONTRACT

  

 

  

IT IS UNDERSTOOD AND AGREED THAT THIS AGREEMENT IS FOR RENTAL ONLY, AND ALL EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS LISTED FOR RENTAL ARE THE PROPERTY OF SYNCEDEVENTS. THE RENTAL ITEMS CANNOT BE SUB-RENTED OR USED BY ANY OTHER PARTY OTHER THAN THE RENTER IDENTIFIED.  


FOR ALL RENTAL BOOKINGS, A 20% RETAINER (ON THE TOTAL COST OF THE RENTAL ITEMS) IS REQUIRED TO RESERVE YOUR ITEMS FOR THE DATE YOU REQUESTED, AND THE CLIENT GIVES SYNCEDEVENTS PERMISSION TO HOLD THE CLIENT’S CREDIT CARD INFORMATION AND PROCESS THE RETAINER.


THE RENTAL ITEMS LISTED ARE AS DESCRIBED.


QUOTES AND PROPOSALS DO NOT SECURE A BOOKING.  BOOKINGS ARE ONLY CONFIRMED ONCE THE 20% RETAINER IS PAID EITHER WITH A VALID CREDIT CARD OR BY INTERAC. 

THIS RENTAL AGREEMENT / CONTRACT BECOMES VALID WITH THE PAYMENT OF THE 20% RETAINER EITHER WITH A VALID CREDIT CARD OR BY INTERAC. YOU MAY PRINT PDF THIS PAGE FOR YOUR RECORDS.


FOR RETAINERS MADE BY INTERAC, PLEASE INCLUDE THE NAME OF THE RENTAL ITEM(S) YOU ARE PAYING FOR IN THE DESCRIPTION. AN EMAIL CONFIRMATION WILL BE SENT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE UPON RECEIPT OF PAYMENT. WHERE PAYMENTS ARE NOT RECEIVED WITHIN 24HRS OF BOOKING, THE BOOKING WILL BE CANCELLED AND THE RENTAL ITEM(S) PUT BACK INTO RENTAL INVENTORY. 


CREDIT CARD DETAILS WILL BE REQUESTED UPON BOOKING FOR SECURITY OF OUR RENTAL ITEMS.


ALL RETAINERS PAID ARE NON-REFUNDABLE WITHIN 90 DAYS PRIOR TO THE SCHEDULED RENTAL DATES.   


FULL PAYMENTS ARE REQUIRED 2 WEEKS - 14 DAYS INCLUDING WEEKENDS, PRIOR TO YOUR SCHEDULED RENTAL DATES. THE CLIENT GIVES SYNCEDEVENTS PERMISSION TO HOLD AND CHARGE THE CLIENT’S CREDIT CARD ON FILE FOR THE BALANCE OF THE TRANSACTION. BOOKINGS FOR WHICH FULL PAYMENTS ARE NOT RECEIVED 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO THE SCHEDULED RENTAL DATES, WILL BE CANCELLED AND THE RENTAL ITEM(S) PUT BACK INTO RENTAL INVENTORY.  PLEASE EMAIL US AT INFO@SYNCEDEVENTS.CA WHERE YOU MISSED THE 2 WEEKS TIMELINE BUT IS STILL INTERESTED IN THE RENTAL ITEM(S). WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO SUPPORT YOU.

PICKUP ONLY OF RENTAL ITEMS IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. EXACT PICKUP ADDRESS WILL BE PROVIDED THROUGH EMAIL UPON RECEIPT OF FULL PAYMENT FOR THE RENTAL ITEM(S). 


PLEASE CONTACT US AT INFO@SYNCEDEVENTS.CA TO ARRANGE ALTERNATIVE PICK-UP, DATES & TIMES SHOULD THE AVAILABLE TIMES NOT WORK FOR YOU.


RENTAL PRICES DO NOT INCLUDE SET UP OR BREAKDOWN, UNLESS SPECIFIED.  


RETURN OF RENTAL ITEMS

PLEASE ENSURE, UPON RETURN OF ALL RENTAL ITEMS, THAT THEY ARE NEATLY STACKED/ PACKED/ ARRANGED AND IN THE SAME CONDITION THEY WERE RECEIVED UPON PICKUP.


ITEMS MUST BE PICKED UP IN AN ENCLOSED VEHICLE.  AT NO TIME CAN AN ITEM BE PLACED IN AN OPEN VEHICLE FOR VARIOUS REASONS. 


WE DO NOT OFFER SET-UP OF RENTAL ITEMS UNLESS AGREED UPON IN ADVANCE WITH A MEMBER OF SYNCEDEVENTS. ASK US ABOUT OUR SET-UP FEES.  SOME ITEMS DO REQUIRE SET-UP/INSTALL BY THE SYNCEDEVENTS TEAM.
 

THE RENTER’S CREDIT CARD DETAILS WILL REMAIN ON FILE FOR ANY DAMAGES THAT MAY OCCUR.  IT IS THE RENTER’S FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE CONDITION OF THE RETURNED ITEM(S). THE RENTER IS 100% LIABLE FOR FULL REPLACEMENT COST OR REPAIR OF RENTAL ITEM(S).


UPON PICK UP, THE RENTER AGREES THAT ALL RENTED ITEMS ARE IN SATISFACTORY CONDITION.  ANY DAMAGE COMPLAIN BY THE RENTER MUST ME NOTED UPON RENTING AND BEFORE THE ITEM(S) HAS LEFT OUR CUSTODY OR WHEN A SYNCEDEVENTS MEMBER IS PRESENT DURING SET UP.


THE RENTER WILL PAY ANY AND ALL OVERDUE CHARGES FOR ANY AND ALL RENTAL ITEMS THAT IS OVERDUE FROM THE DUE DATE. YOUR ITEMS ARE RENTED AND PAID FOR ONLY THE TIMES/DATES AS PER YOUR SCHEDULED RENTAL PICKUP AND RETURN DATES & TIMES.  IF THE RENTAL ITEMS ARE RETURNED AFTER THE STANDARD 3-DAY RETURN DATE (STARTING FROM THE SCHEDULED PICK UP DATE AND TIME), THAT IS, LATE, YOU WILL BE CHARGED THE DAILY RATE FOR THE RENTAL ITEMS AND ANY ADDITIONAL PICK UP CHARGES UNTIL RETURNED.  THE IDEAL PRACTICE IS TO CONTACT A SYNCEDEVENTS MEMBER FOR ANY DELAYS AND SCHEDULE A NEW RETURN DATE.  LONGER RENTAL PERIOD RATES ARE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST. YOU ARE ALSO, WELCOME TO RETURN THE RENTAL ITEM(S) EARLY WITHIN OPEN HOURS. PLEASE CONTACT US INFO@SYNCEDEVENTS.CA TO SCHEDULE AN EARLY RETURN AND / OR A LONGER RENTAL PERIOD. 


WE WILL ALWAYS WORK WITH YOU TO ENSURE YOUR EVENT IS A MEMORABLE ONE. OUR HOPE IS THAT IN RETURN, YOU TREAT OUR RENTAL ITEMS WITH UTMOST CARE AND RESPECT. 


PLEASE NOTE THAT: FAILURE TO RETURN RENTAL ITEMS BY SPECIFIED DATE CONSTITUTES THEFT AND CAN CONSTITUTE CRIMINAL CHARGES. THE RENTER WILL PAY FOR ANY DAMAGES TO THE RENTAL ITEMS INCURRED DURING THE RENTAL PERIOD OR WHILE IN THE RENTER’S POSSESSION.  SHOULD ANY RENTAL ITEM(S) ASSOCIATED WITH THE CONTRACT GO MISSING, IS STOLEN, OR IS NOT RETURNED, THE RENTER AGREES TO BE CHARGED WITH THE FULL VALUE OF THE RENTAL ITEM(S). 


LINENS

PLEASE RETURN LINENS FREE OF ANY FOOD.  PLEASE RETURN LINENS COLOR MATCHED (WHITES WITH WHITES FOR EXAMPLE) SO WE CAN ENSURE THE PROPER ITEMS ARE RETURNED AND COUNTED. 

LINENS THAT ARE RETURNED WITH PERMANENT STAINS, BURNS, HOLES, RIPS/TEARS OR THAT ARE DUE TO NEGLIGENCE WILL BE BILLED AT REPLACEMENT COST TO THE CREDIT CARD ON FILE.

CLEAN UP / PREPARATION FOR RETURN

THE CLIENT / RENTER ASSUMES ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR DAMAGES CAUSED TO RENTAL ITEMS SUCH AS CANDLE WAX, CIGARETTE BURNS, PENS/MARKERS, PERMANENT FOOD STAINS, BROKEN OR CRACKED ITEMS, ETC.

THE IDEAL PRACTICE TO AVOID ANY ADDITIONAL CHARGES IS THE RETURN OF THESE RENTAL ITEM(S) IN THE SAME CONDITION AS THEY WERE PICKED UP.  

PLATES / CUTLERY / GLASSWARE

PLEASE ENSURE THAT ALL TABLEWARE (PLATES, CUTLERY AND GLASSWARE) ARE CLEANED OF FOOD AND LIQUIDS EMPTIED AND PUT INTO DESIGNATED CONTAINERS PROVIDED.  AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE OF $0.50PER ITEM WILL BE CHARGED FOR ITEMS THAT STILL HAVE FOOD ON THEM AND GLASSWARE THAT CONTAIN LIQUIDS.  A SIMPLE SCRAPING OR RINSE IS ALL THAT IS REQUIRED. 


BE SURE ALL RENTAL ITEM(S) ARE RETURNED ACCORDING TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE RENTAL AGREEMENT.  THE CLIENT IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ADDITIONAL CHARGES INCURRED AS A RESULT OF FAILURE TO MEET THESE CONDITIONS OF THE RENTAL AGREEMENT. ALL COLLECTION FEES, ATTORNEY FEES, COURT COSTS, OR ANY EXPENSE INVOLVED IN THE COLLECTION OF RENTAL CHARGES AND OR DAMAGES WILL BE THE NON PREVAILING PARTY’S (THE RENTER'S) RESPONSIBILITY.
